Four years ago, at METEC 2019, Gerdau and Primetals Technologies signed a strategic partnership for their digitalization journey moving ahead to Industry 4.0. The defined goal at that time was the development and realization of a digitalization roadmap for Gerdau, who intends to be the pioneer in the implementation of digital innovation among all steel producers in the world. The cooperation focused on executing digitalization projects, developing joint projects, and creating new business models.
